I’ve spent a lifetime living this practice. Long before I knew there was a methodology for Dream Building and bringing dreams into form, I was practicing it. I saw myself becoming an artist while I was still working three jobs and doing clothing alterations to survive. I imagined an exhibition filled with my sculptures before it existed – and then I created it. That first courageous decision became an international art career. My figurative fabric sculptures have been exhibited and collected around the world, with recognition including the Sausalito Art Festival, Disney World’s Festival of the Masters, Euroart in Barcelona, Arts in Embassy in Kathmandu, and work represented in the White House Collection.
My journey has also taken me into international speaking, Arts in Medicine, entrepreneurship, and the world of women’s fashion. Today, I am the owner of The Grapevine, a women’s clothing boutique in Weaverville, North Carolina, where I have the privilege of witnessing transformation every day. Over the years, I’ve watched thousands of women step into a dressing room, look into the mirror, and suddenly see themselves differently. Women weren’t simply trying on clothes. They were trying on a different version of themselves. A woman can walk into a dressing room as who she has been – and walk out catching a glimpse of who she might become. That experience became one of the inspirations behind Try On Your Vision. Because what if we could do with our dreams what we naturally do with clothing? What if, before we knew exactly how the dream would happen, we could see it, feel it, step into it – and try it on?
I’ve envisioned homes before they existed and watched them take form. And when Hurricane Helene destroyed the river home I loved, I discovered something even more profound: The dream was never just the house. The dream was the woman who could create it. Today, as a new home is being built for me through Samaritan’s Purse, I understand more deeply than ever that we don’t always get to determine how our vision will arrive. But we can determine who we become while creating it.
After decades of intuitively practicing these principles, I studied Dream Building with Mary Morrissey and became a Certified Life Mastery Consultant through Brave Thinking Institute. My exploration of human potential, creativity, intuition and our deeper connection to purpose has also led me into other traditions of study, including being one of 30 people initiated as Diviners by Malidoma Patrice Some, along with training with Paige Bryant and Lillian Edwards. What we can imagine, we can begin to embody. What we embody, we can begin to create.
My mission is to help 250,000 people realize their dreams and create lives they truly love living. Not simply by wishing for a different future—but through a repeatable practice of vision, belief, becoming, and courageous action.
Your dream may be a business you've always wanted to create. It may be a book, a creative project, a new career, a home, an adventure, or an entirely new chapter of your life. Whatever form it takes, we begin with the same essential question:
What would you truly love?
Then we work together to move that dream from imagination → vision → action → form.
Create a clear, compelling vision of the life you would love.
Begin living internally from the future you are creating.
Take courageous action as the person who can live that vision.
Practice until what once felt unfamiliar begins to feel like your life.
You don't have to know the entire path before you begin. You have to be willing to see what's possible, believe in the life that's calling you, take the next courageous step—and try it on.
YOUR DREAM HAS WAITED LONG ENOUGH.
IT'S YOUR TIME. LET'S TRY IT ON.
